Filmmaker's eye.
Strategist's brain.
I grew up between New Jersey and Brazil. Two languages, two sets of manners, and a lot of practice reading a room before anyone says anything. It's a useful skill on set and an even more useful one in a client meeting.
I made my first film at ten, then studied marketing, which people find funny until they watch me build a shot list. Corporate storytelling paid for the education: I learned how a brief gets written, why it gets approved, and what happens to a video after it is delivered. Most directors never see that part. I did it for years.
How I work: I over-prepare so the shoot day can stay loose. Run of show, named shot lists, contingencies for weather and for the family member who always runs late. I solve as much as possible in camera, because a problem fixed on the day is cheaper than a problem fixed in post. I have directed a twenty-person crew and I have shot, lit and cut a piece alone in the same day. Both are on this site.
What I am like to work with: direct. I will tell you when something is not working and I will bring an alternative to the same conversation. I would rather have the awkward discussion in pre-production than the expensive one in the edit. And yes, I can emotionally survive the twelfth song revision.
What I am after: work specific enough to be remembered and clear enough to do its job.
