The ask

Cover the ceremony, deliver the family groupings everyone would ask for, and document the details they spent months choosing. Then turn it around fast enough to share.

The approach

Details came first, before the room filled and anything moved, so the rings, florals, and stationery were photographed untouched. Through the ceremony I worked long and stayed out of the aisle, letting reactions land on their own. Family portraits ran off a named list built with the couple in advance, so nobody stood around waiting.

The challenge

Weather that would not cooperate, a timeline that kept shrinking, and a large family to move through. I rebuilt the order of the day around the sky, pulled the group portraits into the driest window we had, and treated the overcast as the softbox it actually is. Formals ran largest group first so guests could be released as we went.

The outcome

Ceremony, family, and detail coverage delivered on the turnaround they asked for, with every requested grouping accounted for and nothing lost to the weather.

The weather set the terms. The photographs still look like the day they planned.
